- On June 15th, Daniel Kielson, President of Backyard Nature Center, was the guest presenter at the Glencoe Rotary meeting. The presentation centered on the major themes of how BYNC facilitates the connection of children and adults with the wonders of nature -- stewardship, education, unstructured play and recreation, and the healthy development of one's backyard. The power point presentation and discussion was well received ("...very interesting program. ...the Rotarians were very impressed."). BYNC has overseen more than 25 stewardship and educational events involving over 500 children and adults in the last 2 yrs. of its short history.
